The love of nature is where it all began. Even at an early age, I loved the outdoors and all the wildlife that surrounds us. Growing up next to the woods and appreciating its beauty inspired me artistically at a very young age. I never stopped drawing or painting, creating images of animals, flowers and birds. Being an artist was my connection to the natural world.
Birch Art was created in 2006, and today it has become more of a connection to the natural world than I could ever dream of. The bark used for the canvas is from naturally fallen trees only and is found in the local area of Maine.
The subjects I paint for Birch Art are mostly native to the Northeast. My paintings on canvas are an extended variety of my love for the wilderness.
My hope is to create what touches others in their lives and keeping us all connected to the natural world.
